Hi. My name is Chad, and my wife and I are headed to St Thomas on July 20th for 13 weeks. My wife will be working at the hospital, and I will be looking for work of some kind. We are wanting to purchase a sailboat and I am looking for opportunity to go out sailing to gain experience. I am willing to trade labor for sail time.

Are there any opinions about sailing schools that operate out of usvi? who would you recommend? is it worth the time or money?

Our local librarian is friends with this man who teaches sailing. His boat is usually in St. Croix but he does charters out of St. Thomas as well.
