*We would like to moor our 44' sailboat somewhere in St. John's. Can anyone help with regulations and fees regarding long term mooring?

Unfortunately, there are only four places to moor your boat in St. John,
1) Coral Bay - east side of the island - packed
2) Chocolate Hole - west side - can be roll..rather it is rolly...
3) Great Cruy Bay - crowded, I actually believe it is closed to new moorings.
4) Cruz Bay - right in town...lots of ferry noise and wakes

Contact Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) for further information.

Unless you're talking about St. John's Newfoundland?
Sorry, somewhat near my neck of the woods.

What do you mean by "long term" - a week, a month? DPNR can give you the rules, but as far as memory serves, you can drop anchor in a few places, but St John being mostly National Park, you need to know where you can and cannot go. If DPNR can't help then contact the National Park.

By "long term", 6 months to a year and maybe even "semi-permanent". Thanks for your response.
