I'd like to charter a sailboat for the day for my fiance and myself. Does anyone know of any nice boats (with crew) that sail from St John?

All of the boats that do day charters on STT will be more than happy to pick you up in STJ. Do you want a private one for the two of you? A six passenger trip (six pac)? Or a bigone with about 30 other people? You could also e-mail my mother-in-law. She is a captain anddoes charters. The small, private ones. [email protected]

I had a great time with Captain Kathleen from High Pockets last year. It was a racing boat at one time, modified now for charters. Kathleen was more than accommodating and she is an excellent cook as well. website: www.sailhighpockets.com
Her boat will take up to 6, but I'm sure she would do a private trip.

Spree - more basic boat, but the captain is awesome and the first mate is a dog (he's also the least expensive private day charter)

High Country - beautiful wooden sailboat

Breath - one of a kind hand built "tall ship"

White Wing - 46 foot luxury sailing yacht

Long Distance - Pearson 40 foot

Wayward Sailor - 30 foot sloop

Outlaw - 55 foot sailing yacht

Gypsy Spirit 2 - 35 foot sailing yacht

Hirondell - 43 foot racing yawl

We have paid about $450 for a full day on the nicer "luxury" boats and about $300 for a full day on Spree and have enjoyed both equally, just depends on what kind of experience you want to have. Outlaw is probably the most expensive at $900.

I saw your message on the board that your mother-in-law does private charters. I am also going to St. Thomas in July and I would like to do an overnight charter. 24 - 36 hours. Does your mother in law do them? I tried the e-mail address, but i received it backing saying unavailable. Please let me know if there is another form of contact

thank you
