Safety is not a tourist issue on St Croix. Tourist are much more at risk in places like Jamaica, Puerto Rico,St Thomas,St Martin,Antigua, and the Dominican Republic.

Like any place else you would visit. Don't put yourself at risk. Stay out of dark lonely places at night, don't deal for drugs, don't drink too much. don't flash your valuables. Know where you are and who you are with..

Have a great vacation.

There are lots of interesting places to eat on STX. The management where you are staying can offer many suggestions. There are also many brochures available. I would suggest renting a car and driving around the island. Would suggest a trip to the rain forest to have a drink with Norma and see the beer-drinking pigs.

At this point nothing can hurt the horse.
