How much RUM can we bring back home to the continental US ??
6 of us are coming down on May 19-26 and staying for a week. we have 3 rooms booked, do not know which ones as we booked air/hotel deal through travelocity. stayed at mariott twice before but wanted a change of pace plus closer to red hook and ferry. anxious to get there and a little apprehensive about new place but still in paradise!

No need to be apprehensive!!!!!
We own a unit at P.P., but I'm not biased because of that...we chose to own there because it's beautiful, quiet and has the best view on the East End.
When you check in ask for top of the hill units (I hope you rented superior suites). The junior suites do not have as good a view, some don't. For a few dollars more...... you'll understand what I mean.
Suggestions for 6 people...RENT A CAR! The taxis charge by the person and are expensive. Just getting to P.P. by taxi will cost more than a days car rental. Breakfast is not served at P.P. so buy your breakfast groceries at the Marina Market in Red Hook (just up the road). Having breakfast on your balcony is...well you'll find out.
Musts for P.P......Agave (dinner), Fungis (lunch/drinks), nature trail (very good hiking), sugar beach (secluded/snorkeling), Coki Beach (walk accross Pineapple Beach, turn right, go 100 yards).
Check in with Dave the activities director for what's going on that week. The front desk is also very helpful. Remember your manners....always start conversations with Good Morning, Good Afternoon, etc.
Have a great time!
