Hi All,
We are going to St. John in late October for our honeymoon. It is the first time for both of us. I have been reading up on restaurants, but wanted to check in here where I know I'll get the real scoop. At least one night we want to have a really fancy, romantic dinner. Which restaurant do you guys think fits that description best?
Thanks in advance,
Abby

Make a reservation at the Stone Terrace and ask for an outdoor table. Otherwise I would suggest Chloe and Bernards at the Westin or Chateau Bordeaux. All of the above are quite pricey but very good.

We made reservation for our wedding night at Chateau Bordeaux. Very pricy but VERY good!. Great view or Coral Bay if you get there before sunset.

Inlove- where is the Chateau? We're coming back in November, staying near Coral Bay and want a place to celebrate our 30th anniversary of meeting each other. Thanks

Chateau Bordeaux is midway between Coral Bay and Cruz Bay on the highest point in STJ.

thanks, I'll look into it when we get there as I hope there won't be huge crowds in November and that they're even open that time of year.

There aren't many places in the world like Chateau Bordeaux. If you do go there, you definitely want an early reservation. A big part of what makes it special is the view and if you're there after dark, it can be hard to see why anybody would recommend the place so highly. You might just want to stop by during the day for lunch or a drink.

We went to Zozo's following our beach wedding last week. It was the best service we recieved anywhere the entire week we were there. Food was very good too.

We also tried Tage on our last night there. The food was great and the service was also very good.

Is ZoZo's up on the hill above Cruz Bay, heading out towards Caneel? I haven't paid much attention to the restaurant reviews but we celebrate 30 years of life together when we return this November and we want one romantic night out for dinner. I seem to remember a very pretty place on the left side heading out from Cruz Bay 5 years ago. I'm a major foodie and part-time oenophile and want something other than caesar salad in a plastic bowl. Is this zozos?

I think that's Asolare.

Zozo's is on the other side of town on the Gallows Point property. Ten Table and Paradiso might be other options to consider but we didn't make it to either so i can't offer any opinions on them. Both were recommended by the woman who took us to our villa though.

Thanks,
John
