anyone know of a good romantic restaraunt beachside that my girlfriend and I could have dinner at when we visit. I ate at one of the south side of Frederikstead when I was there two years ago that had great jazz music as well. It wasn't Blue moon but farther south I believe. It was next to a hotel if I remember right.
thanks

Check out Sunset Grill. It's just north of F-sted.

No beach view but I like the St. Tropez (French) in F'sted. Small, intimate and loaded with flavor.

The restaurant you were referring to was probably the Beach Side Cafe at the Sandcastles on the Beach/Cottages by the Sea area.

Sunset Grill north of Frederiksted at Sprat Hall is also romantic and the food is very good.

For Christiansted locations, try Cafe Bleu for a romantic atmosphere and tasty entrees. East of Christiansted, the Galleon is also a romantic venue with good food. It's overlooking the Green Cay Marina, so you get water view while comfortably air-conditioned. They often have live music in the bar area that can be heard in the dining room, such as pianists or guitarists for pleasant dining background music.

The Waves at Cane Bay is a very nice setting. You're above the beach and rocks with the waves below you. I do not think they have music, but it's a really neat spot. Duggan's is on the water with great food but it isn't what I would really term as romantic, although very nice. The spots along the boardwalk in Christiansted do not qualify as romantic prmarily because there always seems to be people strolling around the general vicinity. I wouldn't worry about being able to find a good spot since there are way too many choices for your quest. Drive around for a day or two just to check out the locations and then decide.
