Hi, I'll be in St John in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has been on the road out to Lameshur beach lately and could tell me what kind of shape it's in? I've heard that it's been partially paved. My husband and I are looking forward to taking a drive out there and we were just wondering how rough of a drive it is once you get past Salt Pond. Thanks!!

NOT TOTALLY PAVED BUT ONE WHOLE LOT BETTER. I WOULDN'T TRY IT IN MY FATHER'S OLDSMOBILE BUT IT'S A FAIRLY EASY DRIVE NOW IN A SUZUKI. ENJOY THE BEACH BEFORE IT GETS TOO FULL OF PEOPLE

Thanks for the update on the road to Lameshur. I had to promise my wife that we wouldn't travel the old road again after we visited last August. It seems to get worse with each trip. Maybe now I'll get to go back this May........ We're ususally the only ones on the beach. Pure heaven!!!
