Is the game on one tree or 2, I say 1, hubby says 2, we have a lot of trees and think such a simple game would be good for the grandkids, or big kids, I just hope their little necks can look up-right after all the time they spend looking down at their game boys! Also, how do you set it up?
Do you mean the ring game at Soggy Dollar? There's 2 of them... on two different trees. You can buy the game there, and online, but when we were there earlier this month they were COMPLETELY sold out - even online. Seems pretty simple to make though.. I'm sure someone on here can give you instructions..
True, there are two, on different trees...meaning that the game is played with only ONE, but there are TWO of them there...one by the bar, and one a liitt.le further towards the beach, by the hammock.... All you need is a tree, a ring, some string and a hook. Tie the string to the tree on a branch about 10 feet up...screw the hook into the trunk of the tree (hook facing up)...stretch the string to the hook, tie the ring on appropriately...swing away!!
We bought our Ring Game at Molly Malone's a couple of years ago and made a "hangman's" type post to attach it to, we can now take the game nearly any were we want, even indoors for the long Northwest Indiana winters.
Thank you all, such a simple thing yet I couldn't remember the set-up, could it have been the drinks? I can't believe anyone would actually BUY one, LOL, guess we tourists will buy anything!
Lolly
When you set yours up and have friends over to play, after about 30-60 minutes of people trying and sometimes succeding to 'hook up', shorten the string without telling anyone. It only takes about 1/4 inch (just enough to prevent a winner) and worth the laughs. Everyon is convinced it is due to the home grown pain killers.
OK, Chris- I'm on to you now!
But I'll keep my mouth shut next time we have people over 😉
