The message about the CA ferry shutting down due to lack of passengers got me thinking..is the ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay still running hourly as scheduled? Will need it to catch a flight 🙂

Thanks!

What time is your flight (yes it is still hourly but in the afternoon they have - most days 🙂 - one at 4:30pm)

We are looking to book one that departs at 10:10am. Cutting it kinda close for me, but the flight is cheap...

You will be fine if you take the 7am ferry - no problem. I frequently take the 8:30am on AA to Miami and I make it fine leaving on the 6am ferry.

We just got back a week ago from St. John and were told the reason the ferry from CA is not running all the time is because the ferriers are old and need engine over hauling done. Because this is the slow season, they chose to do it now. Yes, the ferry from RH is leaving on the hour (kindoff) give or take 15 to 20 minutes.

Allow your yourselves 4 hours from the time you leave the ferry at St. John until your departure at the airport. We were told this found it hard to believe but it is true.
