Me and my new husband just returned this week from St Thomas. We stayed at the Grand Beach Palace and was married on the grounds. I had read so many different opinions of this place, but I must say that our visit there was nothing less than wonderful. Our room (poolside) was very nice and cleaned daily without any problems. The staff there was very pleasant and very nice to chat with. They were a bit slow at the bar but hey, who can really gripe when its all inclusive. We were pleased with the food there also. We really aren't picky eaters but if we got something that just didn't taste well, we'd put it aside and get something else. Most everything was very appetizing. The hotel itself was very well kept and as we walked around through out the day, we noticed MANY employees working the grounds, whether it be picking up trash off of the beach or watering the trees or plants. I can say that I would recommend this place for families or honeymooners like us. We had a wonderful time. And thanks to all the advise from this thread, we knew which beaches to hit and where to go. You all definately prepared us for our trip. We have already decided to come back to St Thomas in the fall and I believe that we even stay at the Grand Beach again. Wonderful place. Everyone has their own opinions and I love to hear them all.....I just wanted you all to know what a great time we had.
