Looking for feedback re: Asolare, Tage and Stone Terrace. Also, what are your favorite eateries on the island? Thanks!

I think if you go back a bit on this board you will have the answers that you want. Asolare is fusion food, the view at sunset is beautiful. From previous reports the wait staff is not as hospitable as they could be. Most reports have people more disappointed than not. Tage has gotten rave reviews. Stone Terrace is always excellent. All the of restaurants that you have asked about are in the $$$$ bracket.
Another one that you might want to check out is ZoZo's, it is now located in Gallows Point where Ellington's used to be. It moved there from the place that Tage is in now.
There is a new place just above town (out Centerline Rd) called Compass Rose. There's a miniature golf course there. The view is excellent, especially at sunset. Food is pretty good. You can go all the way from a burger to a full course dinner.
In the middle of the island is Chateau Bordeaux, the view from there looks over Coral Bay and the BVI, again $$$$ but the food is great. Hope this answers your question.
There are so many restaurants to choose from. If you are over in Coral Bay try Skinny Legs for lunch or even dinner. Very basic menu but lots of color.

I think its funny how everyone thinks that the fine dining places are all that more expensive than everything else. The food is usually within the same parameters of price, its just you control what you spend. Places like Morgans Mango, Compass Rose, Wahoo, or Lime Inn are not that much cheaper than the Asolares and Chateau Bordeaux. It is what you drink, how many courses, and what you eat. If you want burgers, yeah a good place to eat will cost more. But obviously, if you go to a nice place with great food, you are going to want some good wine, as opposed to a heineken. In my opinion, 10$ for a burger is expensive for some ground up scrap beef that people are affraid to order unless it is overcooked(well). Maybe my opinion is skewed because i work at a fine dining place. I think you can easily walk out of many casual places with a bill that would be similar to a more fine dining establishment.

What about watering holes.....Which ones are the favorites or more popular? Do micro brewerys exsist down there? And how about music venues? Are they all island music venues? Does a variety of music exist ex., rock, country, folk, etc?
Say if one wanted to see a show, concert, would they have to go to a larger Island/country.? O..and is it possiblt to use the net at the local library? for free? I dont own a puter and probably still wont when I get down there.
Lots o ? huh? They just keep pouring out o my head.
Thanks.
PS I cant wait t be there in March...at the present moment, weve got 4 inches of snow covered with another 2-3 inches of ice/ more expected. Man , how I loath winter.
