We will be staying at the Elysian Beach Resort for our vacation, we have never been there before, has anyone stayed there recently? Are there any things to do or places that are a must see and then are there any places that should be avoided? Thanks
IMO, you've made a very nice choice. We love Robert's the restaurant that is on site at Elysian. The beach is nice with a view to the St. Thomas Yacht Club. You will be near Red Hook which is only about a 5 minute drive or cab ride. Several other good/great places to eat, drink and be merry are located in Red Hook. Red Hook also is the ferry terminal for the short (20 minute) ferry ride to St. John. On St. Thomas we also like Secret Harbour Beach and Sapphire Beach. Both are located very close to Elysian. At Secret Harbour there is a good restaurant called The Blue Moon. At Sapphire there is no full service restaurant but I believe they have a small snack stand operating or at least servers from the place up the hill.
Have a great trip.
I agree w/ MissingSTT, we own timeshare at the Elysian and this will be our 12th consecutive year staying there, love it :@)
I agree with Robert's at the Elysian, but also Aynsley's for pizza and more casual lunch and dinner right on the beach. Seagrape Spa/Gym Sweeney is on the property in case you need either a workout or a nice facial. 😀
If you like the Elysian restaurants, Kevin (the owner) also has the Twisted Taco at Pavilions and Pools and the grill at Sapphire MissingStT is talking about.
Red Hook is good. Also Latitude 18. And the Ritz is next door if you are feeling particularly snooty!:P
Thanks for the great information everyone. We'll be staying at the same location in April. 🙂
Thanks for the info...looking forward to our trip!
Hey EE - I did not know Kevin has the Twisted Taco! I really need to get out east more often. 😀
Yes, or come into town for lunch avec moi...
