I am looking for a sailing catamaran to rent either June 14 thru 22 or June 21 thru 30 or July 12 thru 21 or July 19 thru 28. Looking for something between 45 and 60 feet to hold about 10 or 12 people. We have a captains license. Would like to pick up in St. Thomas for sailing in USVI or BVI. Please contact with info. Thanks

I would try contacting The Moorings in Tortola. They have several other locations around the world, but I believe Tortola is the one closest to STT. www.moorings.com for more info. I've never used them, but have seen their boats on several occasions.

Good luck....got room for a couple more?? 😎

Moorings is pretty expensive - I would recommend that you check out Catamaran Company in Tortola http://www.catamaranco.com/ , Footloose http://www.footloosecharters.com/bareboat.asp (after they leave Moorings, their boats go to Barefoot), Conch http://www.conchcharters.com/ (old boats, but well maintained and cheap). I've used Catamaran Co 4 times - excellent service. They're in Nanny Cay on Tortolla. Get a Privledge - beautiful, beautiful boat. Looks like they're focused on Lagoon's these days.

Also, check out http://www.bvitourism.com/WhatToDo/Sailing/BareboatCharters/ for a full list of charter company's in teh BVI.

I would fly into Beef Island from Puerto Rico - or take the ferry from STT.

There's also a good charter company with nice cats in West End Tortolla, Voyage Charters http://www.voyagecharters.com/ (nice cats and very convenient to the ferry dock - across the harbour). You'd be well served to focus on BVI vs USVI for chartering... St. John is worth a trip though...

You'll have an awesome time - easy, easy sailing...

Ralph, there are some USVI charter company's listed on this site. Here is the link https://www.vinow.com/usvi/yacht.php. You'd need to check which offer bareboat. Enjoy!
