*Hi my husband and I are going to take a cruise which stops in St thomas we want to rent a scooter. does somebody know where in st thomas can we rent a scooter?

Its a couple minutes walk from the dock and I think its around $55. Depending on time of year you visited you could get a small rental car for similar price. Scooters are good for getting around town area... cars are much better for exploring the island, beach hopping, sight seeing ect. primarily because of the roads... In any case just use caution when driving the scooter, locals aren't very used to sharing the road.

Samantha: I watched two young folks on a scooter today trying to make it DOWN Donkey Hill in a typical tropical rain (just enough rain to make the steep hill slippery). The young lady got off and walked, he crashed the bike at the bottom. They picked themselves up, refused help and last were seen trying to push the bike up the hill. Just reason # 869,365 why you should rent a car instead!!!
