we are arriving LATE april and just found that budget has raised the price about 100 for a week......any other ones that are good?

All are about the same. Better reserve the first one that you find, as the end of April is carnival week, and none will be available by then!

All car rental companies raise their rates at the end of April for Carnival. Very popular time to be here for visitors and locals alike (ex. - many people from STX and STJ will come over for the festivities, and they will rent cars while here). Get what you can, while you can!

Ginger: The territorial government just levied a $2/per day tax on rent cars starting April 1, so I imagine all the prices will go up.

thanks we arrive late on the 27 of april and got our car already it was a bit more than last time but at least we got one!

Does anyone know if you make a reservation before April 1st, will you not get charged the additional $2/day? Or will it get tacked on anyway.
