Looks like I am coming down next month for a little impromptu island time.
What rental car rates are you all finding for a week this winter? I don't feel like searching. The accommodations search and USAir's terrible phone agents have worn me out.
Budget wants $179/wk plus tax. Does that sound good?
I originally booked a compact car at Budget for that same rate Feb 5 - 11. I recently reviewed all rates again and found it to be the same. We did upgrade to a Tauras (or similar) since we now have 5 adults in our party (and will pay an extra $30 for the week). Good Luck and have a great time!

hey bluwater, we got quoted 230 all fees with hertz, and 250 all fees with budget. for the taurus car. we called the 800 number for both. hope this helps. when are you going down? we will be there last week in feb. scooby p.s. i pm'd you. check it out! lol

I'll be there from 2/16 - 2/21 - long holiday weekend. I'll be one of those people I usually feel sorry for when I am there on my two week vacation.....5 nights? what a tease.
thanks for your input on the car deals. Budget wants $175 without tax and fees, so I'm sure those will add quite a bit. Thinking of renting from Sapphire instead of airport to save on the airport tax.
