Hi Folks, This is a great place for info. I will be staying at the Wyndham Sugar Bay in 2 weeks. I was thinking I should get a car for a few days to see sites and do other beaches and visit st johns. Any suggestions on cheap rental places? I heard driving isn't great on STT. Should I just rent on st johns? I like to boat and beach and walk and sitesee. Not sure what we will do when we get there. Prob a day sail and snorkel someplace. Any suggestions for cars and things to do. My husband and I are energetic 40somethings. Thanks

By all means try and get a car it might be to late for the busy season to rent one but try

Check with Dependable Car Rental on St. Thomas. They usually have a car or Jeep available. We have always used them for our rentals and always gotten a Jeep to bring to St John on the ferry which is an adventure in itself.
