A vow renewal is not a legal binding contract that needs to be done by a "professional", so if you are going with another couple you could have a friend "officiate" the ceremony. We recently did this for our friends. I picked out some scripture to read and my husband said a prayer, the couple proceeded with their written vows while I recorded the special occasion. I would suggest picking one of your favorite beaches during the afternoon when the lighting is better for pictures though, we did it in the morning and the lighting was not our friends!

Hi, we also are headed down in Feb., I read somewhere that there is a vow renewal , Feb14 , on St John, at Trunk Bay at sunset (just in time for the no-see-ums to come out) does anyone have info on this? Do we need to sign up ahead of time? Thanks

There are many companies to choose from that do Vow Renewals as well as weddings or even commitment ceremonies. Weddings the Island Way is one you can try.
Congrats! How many years are you celebrating?

February 14th every year on Trunk Bay Anne Marie Porter (the barefoot minister) provides a free vow renewal. You don't need to sign up or make a reservation, just show up. I think it's sometime around 5pm. My husband and I did it a few years back. It was pretty neat having a bunch of married people all on the beach renewing vows. If you are on St John Valentine's day check it out.
