I was hoping someone could direct me to a good reggae band based in the Virgin Islands who is willing to do covers for a wedding? Thank you.

When I saw the title of the post I thought you were looking for maybe a men's wedding ring/band. LOL

Below is a link from this board discussing reggae bands. Unfortunately, it looks like the avenue you might have to take is hiring a DJ that plays Reggae, which you will have no problem hiring.
I know there is difference between a DJ and a band. Sorry.

Which island?

Do you like Soca music? Because there are many bands that play that type of music on the islands that you can hire.

Maybe there is a Reggae band in the BVIs that is willing to travel to VIs that you can hire. That sounds like a long shot though.

casalup 13, Inner Visions on St. John would be GREAT for a wedding! They're a roots reggae band, very talented, and are great folks. I'd be glad to put you in touch if you're interested!

Another Reggae band suggested and in the VIs.

I see both Bab27 and SisSara were not registered for the thread I posted, so that's why we (on that thread) didn't know about any Reggae bands. Now we know!

SisSara, thanks for the info.!

Not sure what you mean about not being registered for the thread you posted (I'm new to the world of message boards), but it's my pleasure! Have a good night, all.

SisSara, I posted a previous thread (in blue) in my answer/post under the original poster's (OP) post (question/post),.
In your profile it shows that you registered for this message board 2 months ago, in the upper right corner and how many posts you wrote.

Nope, we haven't as of yet. I hope we do hear from them, so we know which island, but I'm glad it was posted because I learned of 2 Reggae bands in the VIs from Bab27 and SisSarah.
Thanks again! 🙂

Gotcha--thanks! I was originally looking at this on my phone and couldn't see everything, but it all makes sense now. 🙂 I encourage everyone to check out Inner Visions whenever they get a chance!! They are back home on STJ now and will be touring stateside this summer. They play pretty often at Hightide and Beach Bar in Cruz Bay and at a number of other locations around STJ as well. Here's to positive roots reggae!!!

Yes, Inner Visions is authentic for sure! They're actually back on STJ now, but will heading out for another tour mid-July. Looking foward to seeing them again stateside. 🙂

Still begs the question of which island. A band based on STT or STJ can easily travel between the two but if you're destination is STX that's a whole different ballgame.
