I am wondering how easy it is to find the reef bay trail off of centerline road. Is it clearly marked or is there some tricks to finding the start of the trail. Any help please.

Easy to find but even easier to drive past as it approaches after some winding curves. You might find yourself having to turn around and go a little slower 🙂
Biggest problem is finding parking sometimes. There isn't any parking lot to speak of, more like a space along side of the road.

It's quite easy and there is a sign "Reef Bay Trail" but the easiest way to know when you are close is - just after the 4.5 mile marker and you go around a "hairpin" turn, you will then go down the hill and at the bottom is the start of the trail. Look for the stone wall on your right with steps down.

Pia hit this one right on the head....do exactly as she says and you can't miss it, keep in mind her directions are coming from Cruz Bay.......it's really easy to find regardless of what direction you are coming from as it is at the bottom of the hairpin turn and there are markers stating the trail. There is limited parking so plan on hitting it early morning or mid afternoon. We were there 2 weeks ago and went alll the way down to the water and the sand flees were nasty....if we stayed in the shade they ate us alive but get out of the shade and into the sun and water and they don't bother you. We hung out a bit by the ruins and they were biting like crazy, I don't know if that's normal but that's what we experienced.....hiking the trail we didn't get bit at all but once we got to the water it was open season on our skin.
