We never were able to get parking for the ferry at their parking lot. 3 times we had to park up the hill at Marina Market. It's the same price, 10.00 for the day.

Just got back on Tuesday. We took the 12:00 ferry, got there around 11:40 and there were 3 parking places in the lot. Cost was $10.

Can you walk from Sapphire Beach hotels to the Red Hook Ferry?

Curran17 - Yes you can walk from Sapphire to Red Hook -- be careful of the traffic and don't try it in the dark for sure. That said; if you stand at the top of the hotel entrance a board the 'dollar bus' that goes by often it is a lot easier. You cannot take this back from Red Hook however as they only run in a circular direction.

What is the best way of transportation from Sapphire Beach Resort to St. John for a 11:00am wedding on Cinnamon Bay and then the reception is on St Thomas at American Yacht Harbor at 1:00pm. Most out of town guest are staying at Sapphire Beach Resorts and most of us will have rental car.

You are going to want to take the 9:00 ferry get in one of the safari taxi's make arrangements for them to pick you up at 11:30 take the noon back . It seems kind of tight on the way back hope the wedding starts on time and isn't very long. I don't think the car barge will work because of the return time.

Serious question, why do you want to go back and forth from STT to STJ and back again in such a short time period? This is going to be difficult and stressful.

Tomorrow, I am taking the 4:00 ferry for a wedding at 4:45 on STJ and returning on the 6pm ferry for STT, so taking the 10:00 ferry will be just fine to get to Cinnamon! Typically a wedding is one hour at it's location. Everyone would have to come back on the 12:00 ferry to get to the function on time. You may want to change the function time to 1:30 or 1:45 so all can take the 1:00 ferry back to STT! Your timing will be tight on the return from STJ, but just fine going! If the wedding time was at 10:45am all would fall into place PERFECTLY! (unless there are a LOT of people...the more people, the more time)! Good Luck and try not to stress!

DEIRDRE: I just want to make sure your reception is at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook and not Yacht Haven Grande in town...
