Any recommendations for jewlery stores on St.T OR St.J. I'm not looking for ultra ultra expensive diamonds but something special for the wife.

Ideas?

My vote goes for Imperial on STT. We have purchased several pieces from them and all have appraised very well upon our return. I will be visiting them soon!!! Leaving early tomorrow morning for a long weekend.

Highly recommend Imperial, been doing business with Vinnie, Charlie and the whole family for 7 yrs. Can work with any budget you might have in mind.

We went to Imperial on everyone's advice but my wife didn't see anything she liked. We got her a bracelet at Ballerina that she loved.

Jewelry on STJ looked to be too expensive. There ws a fun shop called Freebird though. It had odd stuff, bracelets and necklaces with the petroglyphs on them. I got 2 pucka (sp?) necklaces for myself there so I can rememebr the island spirit.

An update on Ballerina. Our friend bought a 1ct total weight diamond ring. She paid $500. The sticker was $1500. My wife took it to work to have a gemologist look at it and he appraised it states-side at $750.00. He said the stones all looked as good as advertised.

What I got from this is that you'll save some money vs. shopping at home but not as much as the price tag says you will.
