I would love to hear any reviews of Herve Restaurant in St. Thomas. We are considering having the reception there. Also, any other suggestions on places for reception or rehearsal dinner? Thanks!

My favorite is the Banana Tree Grill in Bluebeard;s Castle, but the Old Stone Farmhouse would be so nice too!

Havana Blue hands down. We had our RD there and it was excellent!

Herve is wonderful. So is Room with a view and Havana Blue. Havanna Blue is NOT air conditioned. Our son had his reception there and we loved it, but in May it was hot and humid. The Old Stone Farm house is wonderful also. If I had to make a decision between all of those it would be difficult because they are all very good and elegant for a rehearsal/reception. BTW.... where is the wedding? Our son was married at the gazebo at the Marriot Frenchman

We would have the wedding at the Marriott gazebo. How was your son's wedding there? We're looking at having the reception somewhere else like Herve, Old Stone etc. Do you think Herve would be a good place for a reception? We didn't know how much one of the rooms at Old Stone would hold. Thanks!

Kimberlysea had the right idea. We were on a sunset cruise rehearsal "dinner" a few years ago - the couple were married on St John at the Westin gazebo. The night before was THE most beautiful and greatest party aboard ship during sunset. The food was simple, but perfect. It seemed that no one really cared about whether the food was fancy or not (though it was, indeed, VERY well done). The family had the money to do anything they would have wanted, yet their choice was casual and romantic. Look into it!

We had our Rehersal dinner at Oceanna. Did a cocktail hour in the wine bar and then a sit down dinner in the gorgeous main dinding room. it was perfect! Debbie is great to deal with there, the food and service was superb.
