Just returned from a 5 day visit to St. Thomas. They had over 24 inches of rain while i was there. That is very unusual and some of the lower roads were flooded over and the govenor called a curfew at 6 PM.
We had a good time even though the rain made the beach time almost non-existent. I had a nice rental from Dependable Auto Rental, and I highly recommend them to all travelers. We stayed at the Bolongo Beach Resort about 13 miles out. It was very nice and they people at the hotel tried to be very accomodating to those of us stuck there in the rain.
Shopping was good at Havensight and along the water in Charlotte Amalie. But if you want to bring back rum, go to the K-Mart or Pueblo before you get to the airport. It is almost 2x that of in town!

See you in the Islands mon!

Hello Bob,

Sounds like you had a good time despite the rainy weather. Thanks for sharing your vacation story 🙂 and hope your next visit is much sunnier then this one was.
