I will be getting married in St. John at the end of October. I'm looking for a place to have my rehersal dinner. Somewhere laid back, not too expensive in or around the Cruz Bay area. Someone I spoke with mentioned Compass Rose (I think that's the name). Any oppinions on that or other restaurants would be appreciated. We will have around 25 people.
Thanks!

We really like Rhumb Lines--it's in Cruz Bay.

You could also try TAGE. We heard it was great, but couldn't go there, because it was closed for a private party. Rhumb Lines looks like fun, real islandy.

Tage IS spendy. Its good but spendy.
Banana Deck is good along with Rumb Lines. Compass Rose is ok but I'd choose the earlier two before than. Compass isnt known for their food although they have the only minature golf course on the island.

TAGE IS GREAT.

For an inexpensive alternative try Hatsunami - next to Morgan's Mango, literally a hole in the wall with street side seating. Chef makes the sushi for the WEstin and Caneel. Guess you could call it "pan-asian"
