Hello. My fiance and I are planning on eloping on St. John at the beginning of June and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a place to stay. We don't need anything fancy, just something clean and preferably with a kitchen. The last time we were there we stayed at a place with Mongoose in the name. They were fine but we would like something a little nicer for our wedding. Also, we would like to stay on St. Thomas for a few days before we leave and were wondering if there were any decent hotels near the airport. Thanks!

It would be helpful if you could define "reasonable"?

I hope this isn't a lead in the wrong direction, but it may be worth a shot. In our searches we happened upon http://www.northsidevalley.com/Lodging.htm affordable accommodations on St Croix. We are headed to Concordia on St John for something probably a little more rustic than you are seeking. Best wishes!

I agree that we would need to know what you define as reasonable and what time of year you will be there. There are some great deals on the island, but it would depend on your budget and if you are there on season or off.

Congrats! Check out www.VRBO.com . Renting a house or a condo is allot cheaper than most hotels and you get a richer experience IMHO. 🙂 We stayed at a great place on STT www.reefsideescape.com . The couple that rents out this cottage was very nice and helpful. Great views and privacy too!

Star Villas in Cruz Bay looks to be reasonable, but don't know your real price range or timeframe. http://www.starvillas.com/index.php

We're going in the beginning of June and want to stay on St. John for three nights. Probably June 2, 3, and 4. Then we are staying on Tortola for 5 nights and Jost for 4 nights and then we wanted to stay on St. Thomas for two nights before we leave.

When I say reasonable, I mean under $300/night. Preferably under $200, but I know that St. John is pretty pricey. The last time we were there we stayed at a place that was right up the street from Cruz Bay, and we liked that location because we could walk back from the bar at night.

Thanks, Misterduffy. I just checked out the Star Villas and they look just like what we had in mind!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Try the Point Pleasant Resort on St. Thomas....it's not near the airport, but the views are incredible.
