*According to the local experts, what towns/locations on ST Thomas and St. Croix are the best bargains/value for a single family residence?
We are considering moving and of course location and lifestyle are important. We are interested in an upscale neighborhood, but not the flash and price tag of the mega mansions. What are considered to be the better locations on these two Islands?
Any thoughts for us cost per square foot bargain hunters? Maximum acreage on a level lot, a sea view and safety are all primary considerations.

On St. Croix, there are a variety of neighborhoods that typically appeal to newcomers... and contrary to popular fiction, it is NOT mandatory to live at the east end of the island to find a good neighborhood.
If you'd like to explore what's in the MLS, you can go to the homepage for this site and click on the Real Estate link for St. Croix. Then click on the website for Realtor Alexandra Marshall... and you will find a search engine that lets you check out all the properties for sale on the island according to the criteria important to you.
