i am going to STJ for my first visit this weekend...for the week. it has a chance of rain every day. is this pretty typical or did i luck up and plan my vaca during rain season? i thought i had researched this better, but i guess the weather is never predictable. if anyone lives there and would like to fill me in, please do! 😉 thank you!!

Very typical. The forecast always predicts between 20-50% chance of rain but this usually means quick short showers and not everywhere at the same time. Don't worry. Pack loads of sunscreen and enjoy!

Trust us. Don't worry. When you check Intellicast or many of the other weather sites, it looks like it does nothing but rain in the islands. Unless there is a storm pattern hanging over the area, there is nothing to worry about.

Here's the site we use. Scroll down to Atlantic Views - Atlantic Wide View. It really looks pretty good today (14th). I'm thinking seriously about slipping down Saturday for a few days of latitude adjustment.

We had a similar forecast for 6/21 to 7/7. We had to buy more sun block. Bring it and us it.
