Partner of 4 years will be vacationing in St Thomas, and celebrating 3rd annv early (1 wk). Understand that the local gay scene is quiet and laid back. Looking for suggestions on GF place to stay and locations where social hours are.
Thanks
Hello Bob,
Congrats on the anniversary. I looked up a site with listings of properties in the USVI, there are quite a few on St. Croix but some on St. Thomas as well.
http://www.purpleroofs.com/caribbean/virginislands.html
Of those listed; Crystal Palace is a lovely b&b in Charlotte Amalie; Bolongo Bay is a nice quiet beach resort; the Villas listed would offer quiet and home away from home atmosphere. Pools and Pavillions isn't there but you can check it out at
http://www.pavilionsandpools.com/internationalvilla.html each room has a private pool, rooms are like apartments. Nice quiet place.
On St. Thomas none of the accomodations would be strickly GF or strickly against. You would be welcome at all of them and the socializing would be all people staying there basically. There aren't any strickly GF clubs or bars. There is from time to time special events at Epernay Upstairs bar in Frenchtown - that you could look into for a party type scene, dancing, music, conversation, wine ect.
Great anniversary vacation!!

thanks for the info, Know any thing about Point Pleasant Resort Villas, pretty good rate was quoted. Know it is near Red Hook.
Am really looking forward to it
Bob
Bob,
I had 2 (sets of) friends stay at Point Pleasant; one was a couple and the other was a couple with friends... I visited them there - and their rooms were nice, apartment like, great view, kitchen, living room... quiet and nice. It is close to Red Hook.
Its a good choice. I have been told that rooms/apartments are owned by different owners so the decor might be better in some then others. In the case of the two rooms I went into they were different but both were nice.
