Hi
I am coming down in late October from Washington DC on United non stop for 5 days, 4 nights. Staying at Morningstar Resort. Not long I know but been on quite few vacations this year & I was able to talk hubby on letting me come down for a few days. Hopefully we will be back next year for a longer stay.

My question is does Stt airport have a United counter? As my flight back is a code share with USAIR. United was no help to me think they should know but they haven't a clue. I would welcome any help. Thanks!

United does has a counter but with the code share with US Air you never know who you will be checking in with. They are right next to each other though!

Thanks RL
That was helpful so I guess I will be guessing when I get down & get ready to leave. Good ole United not to know where I check in at in STT.
My husband who left for the Middle East last night on United asked & the person had no idea they went to the USVI lol. So she was no help. Thanks again

I've flown on a United/US Airways code share before. If your return itinerary is the same direct flight to DC that you came in on, then it's a United flight being sold as a USAirways flight. With codesharing, you always check in with the airline that is operating the flight (United), not the airline that sold the flight (US Airways).. so just check in with United.

So I check in with United at STT? I was told by United they don't have a counter in Stt when I called this morning but then again the agents are in India so they really don't know. When I called United Vacations who I booked the vacations they didn't know either. So look for a United counter at STT? The flight going down is non stop but flight going back stops in NC & then Dulles so I gather it is an US Air flight like you said code share, flight number doesn't match anything with US Air. I guess I will find out when I get there lol. Makes for a fun trip. Thanks !

You could always check at the airport when you arrive. You'll have plenty of time to do that while you are waiting for your luggage. Pick up your customs forms too. Then you have 2 things ready to go for your flight home. Less stress on your departure day. Good luck. KK

If you are stopping in NC, that would be US Airways, then. The only NC flight from STT is the US Airways flight to Charlotte.

Finally United told me it was operated by US Air after denying it to me for days. I got an upgrade to first class by using my miles which I never have enough for a free ticket but for an upgrade yes. Now just trying to get one on the flights back. I could do the upgrade online for the United flight down but it wouldn't let me on way back. Told me to call so I will this morning.

We did a code share out of Charlotte (purchased through United, flew on US Air) and got the same run around. You will check in W/ US Air in STT. Easy stuff, no problems. Hope you have a great time.

Thanks Jeff
I called yesterday to see if I could get an upgrade for the flights coming home (I was able to upgrade flight down using my miles) But I couldn't on the way back. Finally I got someone at United that knew that the flights back was operated by US Air & she couldn't upgrade but said when I check in at the US Air counter to ask all they could say is no. But at least i found someone that knew what they were talking about. Thanks again.
