My husband & I are leaving in 4 days for a week long trip to STJ. We were interested in taking a day trip to the BVI. While my husband has a passport, I do not - I have a valid drivers license and a certified birth certificate. I had every intention of getting a passport before we left but, we are from New Orleans and the local office that issues passports is still closed due to damage from Hurricane Katrina. I know someone had posted previously that they had trouble finding a charter boat that would take some one without a passport to the BVI. Does anyone know of any charter boats that will take a passenger without a passport to the BVI?
Thanks
Hi Lisa!
We are going on a day trip on Calypso on 6/19. When they faxed me the Homeland Security forms to fill out, it asked for passport OR birth certificate numbers. Here is their web address if you want to check it out.

If you are a U.S. citizen and born in the U.S then a birth certificate is sufficient. Also bring a picture ID such as a drivers liscense.
Thanks for the info. I just e-mailed Sheree with Calypso to see if there is any availablity for a Day Trip to Jost Van Dyke while we are in St. John.
