I'm playing monkey in the middle for my son that will be joining us while he is on leave after returning from his tour in Afghanistan. He had asked me about the bars and nightlife in St Thomas and being the old farts that we are we really don't have a good grasp on places he would enjoy while he is there (he's mid 20's and I won't tell you how old I am). So I'm looking for suggestions and ideas to pass on to him as to where he might go to relax and have a good time with some of the "younger crowd" as a single guy in a place he's never been before.

Thanks,
Rick

Well, he's certainly not going to be able to visit all of the ones that fit the bill...depending on where you'll be staying, I'd say he really can't go wrong with places like The GreenHouse (especially on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday nites)...Red Hook has some places he'll like...Duffy's Love Shack is a must...Caribbean Saloon, too...he'll like Fungi's....Iggie's at Bolongo Bay (check the Trader for their schedule)...heck, he's in the Military, so the El Cubano might be a place he's bound to like...there' are tons of little time places, too, but I suspect he's want to stay where there is action....Wednesday nite at Paradise Point is always good...then down to the Shipwreck or Offshore when Paradise Point closes...heck, even the little bars on the beaches are going to attract him...he'll be able to hang out at Magens at the bar and meet tons of people...Coki Beach, too...heck, have him give me a ring and I'll point him in the right direction every nite...being ex-military myself, I'd like to shake his hand and say thanks...I'm sure he won't be buying many of his drinks here, as most are very welcoming of our Nation's Military...
