Our family of 5 adults will probably want to visit Trunk Bay & the Annaberg plantation. Can someone explain the fees? What is the age for a senior pass? Would an annual pass be cheap in the long run & what does the $15 family pass cover? Thanks

They don't have a senor pass. For $10 you can purchase a golden age pass that allows you to pay half the fee in any national park.
At Trunk that would be $2 each time you visit.

And at what point do you qualify for this pass?

Trunk Bay & Annaberg Same Day UserFee: $4 Adults, 16 and under, no charge. Golden Age & Golden Access annual card holders, 1/2 price. (The same ticket can be used at both places on the same day.)

Annual fees: $10 individual, $15 family.

Family Pass includes mother and father and any kids under 18 as long as they are direct family.

Golden Age:
A Golden Age Passport must be obtained in person at a federal area (National Park, Wildlife Refuge, Forest, etc.) where an entrance fee is charged. The cost of the cost of the Golden Age Passport is $10.00. It is available only to citizens or permanent residents of the United States who are 62 years of age or older. You must show proof of age and residency, such as a state driver's license, birth certificate, or similar document.

Golden Access:
The Golden Access Passport is a free, lifetime admission pass issued to U.S. citizens or persons who permanently reside (are domiciled) in the United States, regardless of age, and who have a medical determination and documentation of blindness or permanent disability.

More Information on both passes at: http://www.nps.gov/fees_passes.htm

Remember there is no longer any admission required for Annaberg. Take that into account when figuring whether to get the pass.

So the only time I would need it is if we go to Trunk Bay?
