*If renting a power boat for the day, is the person operating the boat required to have a boating license?

But, some of the agencies have changed policies and will not let you captain the boat unless they are sure you know the water well. If you choose to use one of those, they make you use one of their captains if you aren't familiar with the water here. And reserving in advance is a good idea.They all give you charts to use, too.
