Hello All, My son (11 y/o), deeply wishes to go "deep sea fishing" while we are on St. John 5/27-6/3/2006. I plan on booking a private charter for the 2 of us and was wondering if anyone could let me know how fishing conditions are at this time of year. I plan on a 4 hour charter. My desire is for my son to catch as many fish as possible (size of the fish is not as important as having plenty of action). Thanks in advance.
Dale
DoubleHeader will be more than happy to keep him busy for half a day. Go with the afternoon trip for tuna and he's gonna be one tuckered out 11 year old! And so will you be! Haha! And you'll have a great dinner to boot! But, if you think that that is going to be a little much for him, they do in-shore, as well. Call Captain Jonathan or Wendy (his wife) at 340-777-7317.
I second Double Header or Black Pearl.
Do these two fishing charters have websites?
www.doubleheadersportfishing.net Not sure for Black Pearl, as I have never been out with them and I haven't done any research on them.
Another option would be with Capt. Eric of South of Twenty Angling Adventures. Their website is http://www.southof20.com/index.html.
I also have heard and read about Doubleheader with nothing but positive reviews.
