Hello,
Last year we took our rental car from St. Thomas to St. John and snorkled and swam at Trunk Bay & Cinnamon Bay. We also drove to the south end past Coral Bay. I have read about all the great places to snorkel like Waterlemon etc. but my husband and I are not into hiking to get there. Last year we stopped at several places, got out of the car, it was hot and saw lets move on. So this year we would like to take a boat. There are many choices for taking a sailboat from St. Thomas to St. John to snorkel with lunch, etc. Are there any power boats that do it too because I have a bad back and require back support when sitting any length of time?

New Horizons has a sail/snorkel trip around STJ. For power boat trips, if you really want to get to waterlemon without driving/hiking, I would suggest hiring your own power boat with captain. I had hoped to get to waterlemon on our sailing trip from Cruz Bay, but learned that it's too far for a 1/2 day sail. Not sure if a full day sail would do it either. I'm not aware of any regularly scheduled power boats that do a STJ snorkel tour, so I think the private charter might be the way to go. Maybe others with more local knowlege will chime in.
Check out www.captainnautica.com as an option. Small boats, max capacity 16, great trip. Cheers!
