Don't have them all up but if you go to pbase.com/promoguy101 you'll at least get a lick of 2005 Carnival Parade and the First of my Tortola shots at the Bomba Shack. And no I wasn't there on a full moon
Great pics. Can't wait for my trip next June. Just wondering, how far in advance did you book your trip to Jost??
Just a tidbit of info yor ya...In yourJost section, you have 3 pictures of Caravelle Rock listed as Lovango Cay, They are closer to Congo, but are part of neither.
Those pix of Jost are from last year. We also went this year and use the same rule for booking......do it when we get there and decide when we'd like to go.
Marty you old eagle eyed devil....Lovango was used a generic name since that is where we headed. You did well in Geography and I didn't. Hell, I didn't do very well in much of college.
Heck! I majored in "Parking Lot 101" in school! Haha!
Did they tell you how Lovango got it's name?
Dude, you must of been the genius sitting next to me in that class.
If memory serves me, Lovango, Mingo and Congo are named after places in Africa.
I also believe it is Congo that is on the market. If not it's Lovango. In any case, I putting together a bunch of rich Los Angeles Developers and hoping to get me that baby.
I've heard that about africa, too. But I like the one about there being a brothel there and the pirates would come in, unload their cannons and pistols at Caravelle Rock for target practice (it was illegal to come into Charlotte Amalie Harbor with loaded guns) and then go to Lovango and go to the house of ill repute, get their 'loving' and then 'go' to Charlotte Amalie. Love + and + go = Lovango. Cute, huh?
Damn I love euphemisms. "hey guys, now that we have some R&R time, let's head to Thailand and a house of ill repute" LOL
you have some great pix. feel free to check out some of mine at

These are great! Thanks for sharing. They really took me back to that day and you've captured some of the parade that I missed.
