I am visiting Point Pleasant Resort in three weeks.
Can anyone tell me what to expect there. Where is the best nearby snorkeling from the beach. Is the area secure and safe??? A travel guide warned of thieves and pickpockets. This is my first visit to USVI. Any advice would be helpful -- thanks

Great snorkeling at Coki Point.About one two miles away. Point Pleasant is on a very steep hill side, but a great view of Wyndam Resort and down islands. Use your search engine to look up Virgin Islands, or St. Thomas, VINOW or stthomas.

Forget snorkeling anywhere near Point Pleasant, even the Wyndham has all rocks for a beach and no snorkeling. Go to Sapphire Beach or Coki is good too. Don't forget to spend alot of time at the rest of the Virgin Islands, the best snorkeling is the British Virgin Islands (just hop a ferry nearby at Red Hook or beautiful St.John.
