We will be in St Thomas from Jan 11 to the 17th and Oh my, we are from Pittsburgh and the Steelers will be playing in a playoff game that weekend!!! Which my husband has tickets to go but has to give them up for this trip- we all think it is worth it - but - where can we go to watch it? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

The way they are playing, you will get to see them in more games upon your return. Go out and enjoy something you don't get to see in West PA.
The water's colors sure beat the 3 Rivers.

Cable TV is readily available. You shouldn't have any trouble watching the game. The Washington Redskins were considerate enough (once again) to not present such a problem to their fans.

From what I hear, Iggie's Beach Bar at the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is the best sports bar on the Island. Check that out!

Hey, Arnold.

I'm a Redskins fan, and a season ticket holder.

What kind of BS are you trying to start?

Like what Myron said, Iggie's is a great place to watch football.

Diane:

The Caribbean Saloon in Red Hook has numerous TV sets and they cater to the football fans.

Go Steelers!

You are sooo right!!! I would much rather be watching the game in paradise than sitting on freezing cold seats in Heinz field plus we will be home to watch the following weeks playoff game in person!! Thanks for all the suggestions!

Big Dave,

I also have season tickets and have been going pretty regularly since 1961 when they moved to RFK (my dad got tickets long before the waiting list began) so I've seen some great seasons and some bad ones and a lot in between. Are you going to Sunday's game?

Hey, Arnold.

I thought you were some Eagle or Cowboy fan trying to start some @#%$.

Sorry.

I have been going to Redskin games since 1985 (season ticket holder since 2001), and yes, I will be there this Sunday vs the Vikings.

What section you sit in? I'm in 328.

I wouldn't miss the last tailgate and game of the season for anything, regardless if we are in the playoffs or not.

Well, maybe if I were in STT with my toes in the sand, and a drink in my hand, with a beautyful girl, I would consider it. lol lol

Big Dave,

We're very close. My seats are in 332, but I don't have them with me. I'll email you when I get home. My wife and I are die-hard Redskins fans and think that Joe Gibbs walks on water. Actually, I thought the 'Skins looked pretty good this year, especially the defense. A few phantom penalties that shouldn't have been called and a couple of plays that went a little differently and they might have played a few more games.

Hi Diane,

I'm originally from Pittsburgh and also a huge Steelers Fan. Several of us get together-all Steeler Fans-at Sibs on the Mountain. They've got a satellite TV package and can get four or five different games going at once. The bartenders there are alway very accomodating and put our team on for us. I think that Sib's is your best bet!

Just look for the group in the Steeler jerseys and Terrible Towels! Hope to see you and your husband there.
Frank

Big Dave,

I am using my wife's computer which explains the different name. We're in Section 332, Row 12, Seats 15 and 16. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance.

Hello Dianne,

You can take 38 all the way to Charlotte Amalie and get on 30.... OR take 32 that becomes 30 all the way through Havensight to Charlotte Amalie.

From 30 turn on 35...and up Mafolie Road... at the top of the hill the road turns right... shortly after you will pass a big wall on the left, immediately after the wall you make a huge turn left and go up this road past Mafolie Hotel (on your left). Shortly after you will reach a stop where you can turn right or left... go right and you will see Sibs at the next intersection.
