Hi,

Glad I found this site. We are planning a trip to either St Thomas or St John, and I was wondering if we need alot of spending money. We are not real big shoppers, and mostly coming for the beaches and touring. Is the restaurants expensive?

Thanks in advance for the help

Lori

Expensive is a relative term depending on your norm. For most, a good sit down meal will seem fairly expensive (entree, desert & drinks for two ~ $80-100).
If you eat local, meals run $10-15 on the light side.

Hello Lori,

The USVI is overall not an inexpensive travel destination but it can be done frugually or can be a splurge.

You can stay at a small hotel or b&b rather than a resort. Can buy foods/drinks at the grocery store so you can make your own breakfast, lunch and eat at less expensive dinner spots.
