My husband and I are planning a trip to STJ for our 10th wedding anniversary and really need some local insight of places to see and go, things to do and places to stay! I have done some research online and have seen many different places to stay but you know how sometimes what you are looking at online is not as nice in real time. That happened to us in Mexico. Where we thought we were staying looked great and turned out to be a hole in the wall. That was our honeymoon!! Cottages on the beach sound great! Found alot of info on the local watering holes too.

So if anyone can help me that would be wonderful. Also too we are not going to STJ til Jan of 2006. But as with any trip to a place you have never been planning is what makes it the most enjoyable.

Thanks.

Hello,

On St. John you can stay at a resort on/near the beach; Westin or Caneel Bay.

You mention cottages - are you interested in a private vacation home/villa/condo/cottage or do you want an inn/hotel? Did any particular accommodation catch your eye while you were looking (perhaps we can give feedback)?

You might order a couple St. John guidebooks like St. John Feet Fins & 4wd or St. John Off the Beaten Path... check out http://www.vitraders.com and click on books or planning kits to see what is available.

Welcome to the board and I hope the information you gain here helps you plan a wonderful 10th anniversary trip!

Hi Felicia
Just my opinion, but almsot anywhere on St John is great ! Its almost impossible to go wrong . even a little cottage is expensive and nice Star Villas are very nice and good prices too.
St.John is beautiful...
