Hi!

Where are your favorite places to go jogging on STT? I will be on STT for 2 weeks the beginning of October and was wondering where people go jogging.

Thank you!
Ann

I would definetly jog at some of the beaches. It's dangerous to run on the roads in STT. They're very narrow with no sidewalks.

If you're in Charlotte Amalie, you can run down near the water...besides that, I don't know of anywhere else.

The National Park road in Red Hook on the S. side of the harbor is flat, safe and frequented by joggers. Also you can contact STAR which sponsors road races, Magens Bay early in the day is popular with joggers and the Peterborg Road is fairly safe if you are careful, but it is not flat. The track at UVI is good if you like circles and the golf course there if you like cross country on grass. The waterfront apron is good but sometimes the exhaust from vehicles can be a problem if there is no breeze.

I jog at the National Park Road just south of Red Hook.....good flat terrain.

There is a flat loop by the airport , the waterfront downtown (can go from Frenchtown to the dock at Havensight), a loop starting at Magens and out Peterborg and the National Park road.

Depending on where you're staying, several joggers pass my place in Smith Bay in the early AM, as in around 6:00-7:30AM.

I assume they're running from the old Renaissance to either Point Pleasant or Wyndham Sugar Bay and then back - a flat track and minimal traffic at that time along with cool temperatures. Mostly women, too. Cheers!

Magens Bay in the morning, around 7-8am, there are people jogging along the road to Magens and inside Magens and also along the beach itself. Same thing in the afternoon around 5pm.

VI Pace has a running calendar on their site that includes all the islands. If you are interested in seeing if there are any events while you are here that you could participate in check their website at http://www.virginislandspace.org/.
