Pick up a "Menu, Please" magazine at the airport or inyour hotel room. Lots of good info in that mag.
Of the restuarants on Marty's list, I have only been to Indigo and Craig and Sally's, and I think that both are excellent. Craig and Sally's (in Frenchtown) is pricier than Indigo, both for lunches and dinners, and is a bit fancier inside. Indigo is a particularly good value for lunch.
I also like Dottie's Front Porch (at Compass Point Marina), which offers very good dinners at very reasonable prices in a casual and cute open-air setting. Dottie's, which is closed until December, has some of the best desserts on the islands, in my opinion.
The fish and salads at North Drop (formerly Bryan's) just above Hull Bay are also very good and reasonably priced.
