My daughter really wants to see some history when we're in STT in May. It will be her birthday and I want to spend a day with her just relaxing and showing her some history/pirates.

Anybody have any suggestions on where to take her? I'm sure Charlotte Amalie will be on the list, but is there anything outside of CA where there is Pirate lore? Or stories?

Keep in mind that she's 28 :o)

There is a bay on the EAST END of St. John called Privateer Bay. Local lore has it that this is a spot where the pirates hung out waiting for ships to come down Drakes Passage. the ships coming downwind thru the passage would be vulnerable. they were on the slowest point of sail. Boats attacking coming out of Privateer Bay would be on a reach and run them down. To see an aerial photo of the bay go to www.eastendstjohn.com

Claddaugh....did you get that information? If not, I still may have it in my private mail.

Sloop? Is that you Terry? Just watched that video and your work is amazing. Will have to try to stop out next time when on STJ.

Hey Connie, Ran across this and thought it might be of interest. Something about Pirates being authorized to hunt goats on Water Island.

Hey Bob...thanks for that article. Printed it out.

My paperwork for this trip isn't as large as the pirate paperwork I have.

I'm obsessed with making sure everything is in order and put into one of those plastic sleeves. It works for me!
