It is a condo complex that shares the grounds with the Renaissance Grand Beach Marriott hotel. Some of the units are for rent and are pretty nice.

Hi
My husband and I are relocating to St. Thomas as of April 2nd. We looked into Pineapple Village. Nothing was available at the time for rent or purchase, they are real nice. They look like they are small but then heard they are actually quite large. The only draw back that we noticed while staying at the Renasaince (spelling?) was that it was HOT there. No breezes at all.

Denise what month did you go in - trying to think of why there was no breeze. Renaissance and other beaches along that side of the island are usually breezy good for windsurfing. In any case perhaps those rooms have AC that could help elliviate any discomfort the heat may cause - which by the way hot is actually often times what the islands are like.

Denise-

Not sure who you were dealing with, but there are a few units for sale at Pineapple. I clean many of the units for guests and residents. Many of the original owners are old now and not using their place much. The units are all 3 private bedrooms, with 3 or 4 full baths depending on the set up with additional sleeping capacity in the main family room area. Some of the owners expanded their kitchen and have the 3 bdrm/3 3 bath set up. All bedrooms have private patios and entrances, there is a large main patio area and owner's storage and laundry room. Depending on where the unit is located you get the breeze out of the east from the ocean.

Hello,
We were there in late Jan. early Feb. We found that compared to Regatta / Bolongo, the breezes were few and far between. I think the Hotel blocks the breezes coming off the water. Also, Pineapple has walls around the complex, possibly not allowing the breezes to through.
Thanks again for this site, it has been a great Aid in making our transfer to St. Thomas.
Take Care,
Denise

Denise - misunderstood.... thought you meant that the general area is not breezy, which it is but considering the buildings around there it is possiable that the breeze from the sea would be interupted by the wall and other buildings.
