I've heard they feed the pigs non-alcoholic beer.

the bar is in the rain forest it is called the Domino club , Norma runs it and you can hear her voice on the video.there are 4 pigs and they all drink non-alcoholic beer. Buster was the original pig but passed away years ago (sad story ) it is one of my favorite bars on STX with absolutely some of the best food you can get on island and my favorite place to have a shot of 'Mama Wanna". the pigs can be feed from 10 to 4 week days and from 10 to 3 on weekends,,,,,by far one place not to miss on a trip to stx

The pigs have their own website. This is a favorite tourist attraction for our grade-school guests. It's also a popular hang-out for the young service industry workers. Heck, you might see anyone at Norma's

Been to the bar but the pigs weren't drinking that day! It is something you can't miss even if the pigs aren't drinking. They do drink non alcoholic now.

We were there last June and we have a similar video. It is a great bar and the food is great and so are the mamma wannas (home made drink). It's something to see for sure on a trip to STX. The pigs are really cute (I guess you could call them that).

Thanks for the info. Makes me curious about STX. Are there a lot of out of the tourist mainstream places like this?

What it take for you to be more forthcoming about specific places?

OMG, yes, I've been there too. Arrived too late and missed the pigs drinking. The "house special" drink Mama Wanna is memorable.

Yes!! To us the magic of St Croix is that it IS out of the "typical" tourist mainstream!!

Tha beer-drinking pigs are just one example - and it really is so very much fun - mamawanna's and all!! Our 4 "children" - ages 15 - 21 had a ball! We met some great people there - Norma is awesome - and will return in the spring!

We spent an entire day driving through the "rainforest", found Domino Club (home to the pigs!) then went to LEAP where we talked for awhile to a gentleman carving mahogany! We spent a great deal of time wandering through the shop and bought some beautiful mahogany keepsakes while there! We became hopelessly turned around when we left there, ventured down roads that we weren't sure were even roads, and discovered MT Victory camp and some views that were absolutely breathtaking as we wandered along!! It was a great family adventure!

We love St Croix - have never been anywhere where it took us so long to unwind the the "local level" - have never felt so relaxed! Met wonderful people - from mainland and locals that were warm ,friendly - made our vacation all it needed to be! We've purhased a property there, we fell so hard!!

Plan a visit....this forum and others are a great place to collect info...helped us immensely!

I love this kind of stuff. Is it just beer that he likes?
I wonder if he'd drink a can of Coke if somebody tossed him one? He can't read so the only way he'd know the difference would be to actually bit the can open.

There's actually a few pigs - I believe 2 or 3 were "drinking" the day we were there! Enormously large pigs! They encourage you to shake your beer, then give to the pig- so when the pig punctures the can, the beer spray flies everywhere! I'm sure they'd drink anything at all...but who would go see "pepsi drinking pigs?? 🙂

The folks who work at the Domino Club bring the "beer" out to the pig pens. They give it to you to give to the pigs. I'm pretty sure the pigs don't like Coke or Pepsi.

Too bad. If the pigs did like Coke or Pepsi it could have made a great Super Bowl commercial.

The pig was called Buster and the Sun Mountain Fiddler band has a song about him (sunmountainfiddler.com). We just got back from STT and these guys play every winter at Latitude 18 in St Thomas (Thurs-Fri-Sat). They're so much fun!!

The Mt.Pellier Domino Hut Club is my favorite bar on the planet. Norma is a great lady. She is just a terrific hostess. The pigs are neat but I like just hanging around the place and talking to Norma, her husband George and the other regulars that we see on our yearly trip to STX. I always make two or three visits to the place. It's not fancy, dirt floors ,thatched roof, small bar area but I love it.
