My Virgin Island trip was two months ago, but I had 97 panoramas to stitch (90 are up), a long trip journal/diary to key in, and captions to write for some 485 pictures.
I split the pictures up into eight albums. The USVI ones are:
St. John http://donwiss.com/pictures/STJ-2006/
St. Thomas http://donwiss.com/pictures/STT-2006/
St. Croix http://donwiss.com/pictures/STX-2006/
The journal can be found at: http://donwiss.com/travel/carib2006.htm
Don.
Great images. What were you shooting with? I noticed the photos from Concordia. Did you stay there? How did they look? I'm staying there in early May and was curious.
Great photo's. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I didn't stay at Concordia but saw them from the water on our sailing trip. They are very high up on the hillside so I hope you weren't expecting to be beachside. And I hope you have rented a car. We just got back and stayed at Cinnamon Bay Campground in a cottage. It was fantastic ! Clean, 2 minute walk to the beach, great accomodations. The whole island is soooo beautiful, we snorkeled at least 2 different beaches everyday. A car is a must to do this though. Have a great time !
Great pics and journal!
Wonderful photos! thank you for sharing...it's getting me even more excited for our trip tomorrow!
Wow, what great pics. Thank you so much for sharing. Loved reading your trip report too. I leave next Tuesday!
I was taking my pictures with a Nikon 8400. I bought it for its wide angle capability. I have just purchased a Nikon D-200 with two lenses, the 18-200 and 12-24. This is much heavier than the 8400, which will be a bother, but the quality of the pictures should improve.
I did not stay at the Concordia, but I stayed in St. Cruz. I prefer staying in town, near transportation and restaurants. I only had a car for a day. As others have noted, at the Concordia you will need a car for everything.
Don.
Hi Don.
Your photographs are splendid but I especially enjoyed reading your journal; thanks for sharing! I would like to know whether or not you enjoyed your trip and if you had fun.

Yes, I enjoyed my trip and had fun. That's why I take them. I now have to start planning my Ireland trip in June (my last for the year). I know nothing about Ireland, but expect it will be a car trip with no bicycling. I should get lots of good pictures.
Don.
Hi Don,
Enjoyed your photos and trip journal, but am mystified...did you ever go in the water or lay around one of the many beaches you visited?
