I have some wonderful new digital camera equipment that will require a backpack to carry around the island.
We plan to do the hikes and beaches on STJ as well as the Baths.
Are there any places to avoid toting this because of heat, long treks, too much water to walk through, etc.
I want the great shots but I want the great memory more!
As far as the Baths go, how will you get there? If you go by boat, I'm sure that the captain will allow you to keep most on the boat, although, when we went there we had to jump off the boat and swim in.
As far as St. John beaches, that may be tricky. Where will you leave all your valuable equipment when you're there?
I'm thinking of something with wheels, but not sure exactly how many things you will have with you.
This may be a challenge for you, but i'm sure somebody may have some ideas.
It's light enough to manage most of the time- it may be a problem on strenuous hikes.
As far as leaving it on the beach....good point!
Maybe we need to do make some days for shooting and leave the rest to just enjoying the view!
Laura, that's a great idea bout shooting somedays and leave it behind other days. You may lose some good shots, but you make up in relaxation time.
I'm sure you'll work this out.
