We will be visiting St John for the first time in June. We are trying to make our list of where we most want to visit. Is there anyway for us to visit Peter Bay? I never see it mentioned anywhere except when looking at villa locations. Thanks for any info.

Peter Bay is an exclusive estate of homes overlooking Cinnamon and Francis Bays. Not sure if the warefront below the estate is actually called Peter Bay. I doubt you can just drive up into the estate but if you can I wouldn't think you could see much. I do not believe you can gain public access to the water from Peter Bay estate but you can certainly boat or swim into the area from Cinnamon.

Peter Bay is actually a bay. Only accessible by boat, unless you are living or renting at one of the estates. Beautiful!! And I noticed one of the homes is for sale there...only $18,900,000. Hmm, maybe I should go look at it? Haha!

WOW, thanks Marty...maybe I'll go look at it too! Don't buy it before I get my chance..haha. Even though I really would like to see what this kind of place looks like. So only residents/renters of Peter Bay are allowed? I guess I need to go back to school but what makes it a bay? What is the difference?

The area is at the East end of Cinnamon Bay and it is separated from Cinnamon Bay by a small outcropping of rocks, thus restricting access on foot. I supose by definition, that makes it a separate bay.
You can see some of the homes from Cinnamon Bay beach.

From a dictionary:

A body of water partially enclosed by land but with a wide mouth, affording access to the sea: the Bay of Biscay.

If you click on http://www.craigandstephsvacations.com/StThomas/StThomas2004/StThomas112604.html and then click on the Caribbean, then on "11/25/04 to 12/1/04" and you can see one of the homes being built on the North point of land that creates Peter Bay. It's gonna be incredible. (I am the guy in the background, with the T-shirt on that says "My Dixie..." in the second to last pick on that page. Also, if you click on the "Back" button on the bottom of that page, it will take you to a great trip report done by my friends, Craig and Steph. I met them on their first trip here 5 years ago, and they now come every year.)

OK, you win you can have the one for 18.9 and I'll just get the one you sent the picture of (thanks for the picture link). Are these homes close together...maybe we will be neighbors. I'm getting ready to book jeep rental and daysail. Looking at White Wing and L&L Jeep Rental. What are your reccommendations? Also looking for a reputable jewler to buy a few pieces(braclet in particular) of jewerly on St John. Nothing real expensive. Contrary to past posts, I am not rich..haha. Looked at a few St John bracelets on line at stjohnjewlers.com/braclets for $300-800...love these but my pocketbook doesn't..maybe about 1/8 or so of that. From reading other posts , I know you are in the jewerly business..so can you give me some guidance...Thanks
